Hi all, first post on the forum so Appologies if this has been asked before, I have a video that was captured on our injest system unfortunetly there is a frame every 3.24 secs that I need to remove,
its constant througout the video – not sure if there is a trick I can use rather than scrolling thought 2 hours woth of video and maualy removing glitch frame any ideas would be appriciated.

    Hmm… that’s a weird one.

If it works out to an even frame increment then I would export it to a still image based workflow and just delete every nth frame manually.

Alternately, you could create a slug that is 3.24 sec long, and then one that is 1 frame long. Copy and paste that a bazillion times into v2 of your comp and use it as a template for cutting the original track. down arrow, cut, down arrow, cut.

If you have the option of recapturing the source, then that may very well be the best way to deal with this. It also may be much less of a headache.

there’s a trick i use for this sort of thing:

on the track above your video, put a frame of text over the glitch frame
then put 3.23 of slug after that.

now copy that and paste 10 times,
copy those 10 and paste another 10
copy those 100 and paste 10 more times,
keep it up till htewhole timeline is covered.

now do a find all for “slug” and delete them
find all for text or use track tool to select all text on V2.
hold SHIFT and drag down, cookie-cutting out every glitch frame.
delete the still selected text fames to leave gaps

now park at the head of the timeline,
    select all on V1
drag up into the canvas and drop into the Overwrite window.
this will remove all the gaps. (you’ll have to tidy up the end of the timeline a bit)

    hope that helps,
    nick
