Dell or Apple Cinema – or something else?
In the field I’m perfectly happy with the Panasonic 17 inch monitor, now I need an HD setup for the edit room, and would like the option of occasionally using it with my macbook.
From reading here I’m leaning toward the Matrox MXO 2, but I’m not sue which monitor to get. The Dell 2408 WFP looks to be about $650 online, the Apple a bit more. Any suggestions which I should choose? -

Both of the monitors you’ve mentioned are good and I personally would go with either one. If you’re considering using an MXO2 as well, any other monitor choices would be dependent on which ones are officially supported by Matrox for use with the MXO2. That info is most likely available at their web site. Minimum monitor size would be the Apple 23″ so you can see the full raster 1920×1080 image.
