    does anyone think that this cpu will be as good as my old one.

    new laptop
    dual hard core E1705,CDP T2600(2.16GHZ)
    LCD,17-INCH,WXGA+,
    2GB,DDR2,667MHZ,2 DIMM,
    256MB ATI MBLTY RADEON X1400,
    80GB HARD DRIVE,7.2K,

    old desktop
    p4 ht 3.4ghz
    2 gig ram 433
    160 hard drive 7200rpm
    128 pci express card

    does anyone know if they will be comparable in any way to run the adobe production studion. primarily ae 7.0

    I have this laptop – however with the nvidia Go 7800 card and uwxga monitor. It will kick the beejeezus out of your old desktop. (Shameless plug…with Nucleo of course…end shameless plug)

    Its a very solid laptop. Be forewarned though – the battery doesn’t last long at all – so if you need battery life – get the 9 cell battery. I have the 6 cell, and it only lasts about 1.5 hours.
