Delkin Fat Gecko car mount
Hello! We’ve recently been testing the Delkin Devices Fat Gecko Triple Suction Cup car mount with a 5D Mk III.

It’s pretty cool, and the build quality is good but we are finding the footage to be pretty shaky … the road quality here in Ghana is not always so good 🙂
Is it at all possible to find a car mount for a DSLR with some kind of stabilisation / shock absorption for a price under US$ 250, or would we need to invest significantly more to get that jump in quality?

It may or may not work for you, so do some research, but there are beanbag mounts that help absorb road shock, Patrick. Someone here may have a link and remember what they are called. Sorry, I don’t remember their name at the moment.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen one in action but when I originally saw it long ago, I was surprised how nicely it helped smooth out *some* of the road shimmy and shake.
