Delivery is slipping for mac resolve

I agree that the stability and security of Windows is often underestimated. But since none of us here are actually developing the DaVinci software, I don’t think it’s fair to assume that the only reason we’re not seeing a Windows system is because they have some poorly-researched aversion to it.

Like I said before, I have assumed 2 reasons why we’re seeing a Mac/Linux release only:

1. Porting. OSX has more things in common with Linux than windows, making a port easier.
2. Price differentiation. If they release a Windows Resolve for the price of the Mac Resolve, there would be less reason to go the Linux route. I think the power differential is a good move from a business standpoint.

That being said, I’ll be keeping my ear to the ground on if anyone gets Resolve running on a hackintosh.
