  Deliveries during Isolation

  I know we don’t need yet another disruption to think about during these crazy times, but I thought this bears mentioning.

  Like many people our office is running with a very skeleton crew and keeping very odd hours during this time of isolation. I was the only person working today, and then didn’t even drag in until 11:00am when I knew that a client needed something. I arrived to find a package propped up at our door…

  

  This was something that I ordered weeks ago but was just now delivered due to being out of stock. I had no way to anticipate it to make sure someone was there to receive it. Usually our delivery guys are fantastic… our usual UPS driver Orlando would have taken it around back to the loading dock or roll-up stage door, or left it with the neighbors… and once when finding our doors locked our FedEx driver Marty actually drove a package to my house, if you can believe that…, but this was obviously not our usual driver and they just left it on the sidewalk at our door.

  We are solo in our building, but fortunately share a parking lot with two other businesses that surround it… a law firm and a CPA, so thankfully the passers-by aren’t too high on the riffraff scale… but hey, ya never know. This was a pretty valuable package that I waited a long time for and I would have hated to lose it.

  Yet another thing to think of these days… love it when life gets complicated.
