  • Deleting vertex points from masks

    Hi everyone

I have a problem and I could do with your help.

I have a mask I am animating over a few frames. Here is my problem, when I delete a vertex point from keyframe “A”, the mask animation between keyframe A and keyframe B distorts. However when I undo deleting the vertex point, the mask animation is smooth, but with the extra point.

I need to delete a fair few vertex points from one keyframe to another and I was wondering if there was a way round this problem.

    Thanks in advance.

Dave is right on… It’s alot easier to animate several separate masks than to animate a bunch of points over and over on the same mask. For me, the key to good masking is to really study your footage and plan out precisely where the points should be for the least amount of keyframing of the points. Adding and deleting points mid-animation can get pretty messy.
