I am archiving a project in PP2021and wish to delete some sequences that are not needed. But I get the message “The selection you are deleting contains clip references in one or more sequences. If you continue these clip references will also be deleted. Do you want to continue?”

When I click yes, it deleted clips I’m using in other sequences.

What is the method to delete UNUSED sequences?

Use Project Manager to create a new project including only the sequences and media you need.

Or make a new project and import the sequences you need using Media Browser from the other project.

I generally don’t delete my unused sequences during an edit or even later on – but I segregate them within the project by creating bins for final sequences and segregating them that way – could always do the reverse and set up a bin for unused sequences.

Bill has my vote, I dont trust myself enough and creating multiple bins isnt going to take up my space.
