September 21, 2007 at 11:54 amEditing posts is a built-in feature, but it has limits.
When you make a post, you’ll see a link in the lower left of your post, just under the “Rate this post” area.
Here are the limits: you only have 30 minutes OR until somebody replies.
The reason why is that editing a post can cause problems with the replies underneath it, and we get too many posts (1000-ish per day) to track all of the changes ourselves.
[Deleting almost always causes problems, so that’s a feature we reserve for ourselves as admins.]
If there’s something that really really needs editing [or deleting], just drop us a line, and we’ll figure it out.
Thanks,
Tim[BTW, I added everything in brackets to this post as edits. 🙂 ]

Probably due to congestion on your server, I had trouble recently posting a question: Should Editing Computer Be Used Only for Editing.” I tried to post several times, apparently with no luck. Then, to my horrow, I saw that it had posted at least 5 times! Could you please delete all but one of these posts?
Thanks.
