Deleting old projects if the have been imported into new projects
I have a question, that may or may not seem stupid.
I have been working on a film for a year and a half. I have had several issues on older version of the film, where I had corrupt projects. I remedied this by importing into a new project. This happened several times. and ugh….what a mess. I now have a project folder with several versions of the project, and I’m really wanting to delete the old versions and just keep my latest. My question is…if I delete all these old versions, will it mess up my current working and final project? Is it looking at the older versions as a reference?
BTW…I started out using PP CS5 and I’m currently on the CC2014 versions. Also…if need be…I’m on Windows.

If you’re in the middle of a long project, I would avoid deleting/removing anything that could upset the balance.
You could potentially move the files to an external drive and check that your latest versions still work, copying them back if there is a problem, but I would seriously recommend playing it safe and not altering anything.
