  • Deleting clip from Timeline does not throw off sync

My editor just discovered when she deletes a clip from the Timeline, with locked audio tracks, the clips are not flagged as out of sync…the red out-of-ssync indicators do not appear.

I took the sequence in question and copy/pasted it into a new sequence. Interestingly there were a few out of sync clips with red indicators although the source sequence had no such red indicators. I then ripple deleted a clip from the head of the sequence and all of the red indicators disappeared from the Timeline.

If I ripple delete a clip further down the Timeline, only the red indicators _after_ that point disappear.

    This is under FCP 6.04.

Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks for your help.
