If you’re working on a project and want to get rid of unneeded media from your project…..

In the Browser select all the clips you don’t need.

Right Click on one of them. Choose “Make Offline” from the drop down menu.

Then choose “Delete From the Disk” from the next menu.

Say Ok to “This is not undoable” from the next option.

Now all the clips will go offline in your project and they have also been deleted from the drives.

If you are done with a project…..

Go into your Capture Scratch Folder on your media drives.

Throw away the Folder with the project(s) you no longer need.

Do the Same with the Render Folder.

    Empty the Trash.

If I delete the capture scratch folder from my hard disk, will it remove all the quicktimes associated with the timeline in FCP6? Is there a way to delete everything but the in/out markers in a clip?

    Thanks

    Mike
