I have clips in a sequence and I’m wondering if there’s a way to cut all the extra footage that is still attached? So instead of having an in and out point and all the extra footage. It’ll just be the clip that I need without the extra.
    Thanks

    You can use media manager.

You can select the part you want and create master clip.

You can export the part you want current settings make self-contained and re-import and delete old.

What kind of media are you working with? I typically shoot P2 and when I bring the clips in via log and transfer, I only choose the clips I would be working with that are good. If I need extra, I go back and import the extra.

I suppose you could go to each clip, reveal it in the finder, open up quicktime and trim the excess. I never done this, and it sounds dangerous, but that’s all I can think of.

Are you running out of disk space?
