delete consecutive hard returns using Edit> Find/Change
Curious if anyone knows how to delete two consecutive hard returns using the Edit> Find/Change command?
I flow MS Word docs from my colleague into Indesign. He always separates his paragraphs with two hard returns. I can find and replace two
spaces with Find/Change. But if I type the key into the Find field, that activates the ‘Find’ function. I’m using CS on a Mac.

The easiest way to replace anything you don’t know the ascii code for is to just simply copy the figures and paste.
So, just copy the two return ‘spaces,’ paste into the find box then paste again into the replace box and delete one of the two characters that will appear as the code for a return.
Find and Replace is one of the best/handy/important tools for developers!
