Delete Color Correction Universally
Posted by Martin Nelson on November 12, 2011 at 5:11 pmI’d like to remove all the color correction in my very long sequence. I don’t at this point, necessarily remember which clips have CC on them, nor whether a given clip has other filters applied. Is there any way to go about removing CC other than bouncing the clips one at a time into the Viewer, checking then deleting?
Please, please tell me there is

November 12, 2011 at 5:14 pmThere is a way to remove all Filters from your clips at the same time. Provided CC is the only filter you have applied, all you have to do is select all the clips in your sequence, hit CMD+OPT+V to bring up the Remove Attributes box. Check Filters, and hit OK.

November 12, 2011 at 5:39 pmThanks Andy, that would be sweet, but many of my clips do have other filters applied.

November 12, 2011 at 5:52 pmThen you have to do it one at a time. You can make it a LITTLE easier by ganging the viewer to the sequence so that you don’t have to double-click each clip to load it into the viewer.
Put the playhead at the beginning of your sequence. In the canvas, click the top middle button and set the gang to “OPEN”. The clip beneath the playhead should automatically open inside the viewer. Click on the filters tab and delete/turn off CC. Go to the next clip in the timeline and it will automatically load in the viewer and the viewer will remain in the filters tab.
It’ll still take some time, but will make it a little easier.

November 12, 2011 at 9:26 pmHere’s a super smart way to do it but you have to buy some cheap software

November 14, 2011 at 11:47 amEdit Mule seems like the easy way to do it.
The Gang to open workaround is also good.Else, the only other method is to export and XML and do some scripting to exclude the filters.
Edit mule also seems to do something like this.———————————–

November 14, 2011 at 3:09 pmI ended up spending a couple of hours Sunday using the Gang to Open method. A real pain, but I was able to review the other effects applied to the show.
Thanks for all the other suggestions though.
