The Magic Bullet deinterlacer is nice but rendering time is outrageous. There is a great tutorial by Andrew Kramer on here to deinterlace footage without any plugins. Saves a ton of time and turns out fine. Haven’t tried with HDV so not sure of the results. Works great with DVCPRO. His example footage was shot on an XL2.
