I understand that one of the best ways to deinterlace DV footage on a PC after exporting from Premiere Pro is to use avisynth.

I’m on a Mac and so I’m wondering what would be an equivilent method, or software? (b/c the Premiere Pro for mac does not export to avi.)
Is there an alternative, or do you recommend that I find a third party sofwtare to convert my quicktime .mov to an avi first, and then use avisyinth? or maybe I should use Apple’s Compressor?

    thanks,
    B
