I’m compleating an edit on a feature on Vegas 5.
I have lots of slo-motion, at many different rates, and layering with mixed colors and speeds.

How would you recomend I deinterlace for film look?
should I render all the off speed clips first, then render the whole film with deinterlaced settings, or do it in one pass.

What Vegas settings for film look would you recomend, or do you guys use another plug-in program.

Shot on dvcam and imported via Firewire to avi files using a dsr11 sony dvcam deck.

also can I do any rendering upgrade and export to a higher grade deck, such as a digi Beta or HDV deck?

    Many thanks, Greg

Do Clips that have been adjusted to , say, 19% slo-motion, at 50% transparancy, blended with with a clip on track 2 at 30% slo and 50% transparancy still have the same 2 fields per frame as the original 30fps video?

If your project is set to 30fps interlaced, then the video created on the timeline will have those properties, including 2 fields per frame.

Makes good sense. I work as a film telecine colorist and know that the 3:2 pulldown only applies to 24fps speed, at other rates the math gets crazy.

    thanks for your answer,
    Greg
