Accidentally deleted my default effect. Now there is no way to set the default because the Set Default selection in the effects menu is always grayed out. Both for audio and video effects. Is there a magic switch somewhere to re enable this? I know I have done this before in previous versions…

    Odd.

Hey, just drag the effect you want as Default over to the project window and when you right click it you can choose to make it your default.

It doesn’t work from the timeline or the source window!

Rich- You are starting to talk to yourself. Can I guess…. you are in the middle of a long edit session with no one else around. Hide FCP. Take the dog for a walk.
