Default brushes gone
Hello,
I was working the other day in AI CS4 and I needed to use the brush tool with pretty simple brush tip, like the ones that come preloaded with the software, but to my huge surprise all my brushes were gone from the panel and I couldn’t find a way to reload them again, I tried looking for my basic startup cmyk and rgb .ai documents and could not find them so I ended up reinstalling Illustrator from the CD. Unfortunately that did not fix the problem, I’m still with no default brushes at all.
I have another computer which also has CS4 installed, does anyone know if by copying the default start up files from that computer will help?

Try deleting your preferences file, then restart AI.

Hi Les, thanks for your reply. I already tried that and didn’t work, I ended up recreating the brushes I needed. CS4, as buggy as it comes.
