Default audio transition to 1 frame?
Hey all,
So I’ve figured out how to set default audio and video transition lengths.
But in prefferences, it wants to measure default audio transition in seconds, and won’t let me go beneath .10 seconds. Depending upon frame rate, this gives me either a 2-3 frame audio cross-fade.
I like to have my default audio transition set to 1 frame so I can smooth out pops and cut on precise words.
Any suggestions to get default audio transition duration down to less than 1/10th of a second, or change the units to frames, not seconds???
Right now, I am having to add transitions, then change the time on each of them, a waste of steps.

1/10 is as low as it gets.

This isn’t the solution you’re looking for but you could drop your transition between your clips, trim it to 1 frame, copy it, then just arrow your way down your transition points and paste at whatever points you need. Easy peasy.

Unless you know something I don’t know, I have not been able to make presets for audio transitions… The option Make Preset is greyed out.

This is a good workaround… thanks Todd. Easier than what I had been doing.

You make a preset of the volume in the Effect Controls.

I am not adjusting the volume – I have a one frame constant power audio transition. In transitions, Save Preset is greyed out of the panel menu.

What does the constant power transition do: changes the volume with a beziercurve…..
Instead of but to but you superimpose 1 frame and add the preset.
You have to make 2 presets on for the end and one for the beginnen of a audio clip.———————————————–
