Decklink
I asked earlier and got no response here, so I asked again in Blackmagic Decklink and was told Decklink doesn’t support Vegas 7 yet when I look at the Sony website about new features here is what it says.
Improved DeckLink implementation includes support for current- generation DeckLink PCI-e and PCI-x cards, improved batch capture, multichannel audio I/O, insert edit to tape, mixed timecode handling, 1080i 24p I/O support, and 720p timeline monitoringAnyone have any ideas?

DeckLink has been supported since Vegas 6.

That is what I was thinking, and that is why I was surprised when I was told that Vegas 7 was not supported on the Decklink forum. Then read that 7 supposedly has even better connectivity than Vegas 6 on the Vegas website.
My problem is that it is not responding properly, they talk but the Beta SP machine alternates between fast forward then rewind a couple times then goes into play mode and really doesn’t find the cue point.

Here’s a reply direct from Sony on the Vegas forum:
For both Decklink and Aja, ONLY SDI capture and print to tape is supported. Analog capture or print to tape is not supported and quite likely willl not work at all (or if it does there may be serious problems).
Component video monitoring from either card IS supported.
We understand that there are still a lot of BetaSP decks out in the field and reccomend the Convergent boxes for capture and print to tape for SP and other analog decks.
