Decklink & XDCAM Statement of BMD would be nice
Hi,
i´m using PPro2 with a Decklink Pro..so far so good.
Now, a client of me wants to by a Sony PDW-F335 to shoot in
DVCAM an XDCAM.
He asked me if it´s possible to edit this material with me an
my edit unit.
I think to edit DVCAM material recorded with a PDF-F335 isn´t
a problem, it´s the same as editing with DV, am i right?
But HD-XDCAM material would be a problem, (first i have to by a
HD-Decklink card like a multibridge Pro) is it possible to edit those material with a HD-Decklink Card? Or is there a codec probelm. If it don´t work, will it be possible in the future, does Decklink work on it?Thanks

Hi.
I’d edit in uncompressed or prorez(mjpg) etc and capture through SDI.
This is how i use it 🙂
Other way would be to convert files to prorez(mjpg) if you plan to transfere xdcam native files from the deck trough gigabit net.
There is different ways to do it.
I do not know your needs and your ability to work with different formated files.—
