    Decklink Studio Audio Levels

    I recently purchased a decklink studio, and hooked it up in my macpro 2007.
    I am running analog 1/4 to rca from ch1 and 2 to genelec 6010a speakers.

    When using decklink audio on the mac Even with the volume completely down on the mac, abd set to -12 in the decklink control panel the audio clips and distorts quite alot.

    is there another setting im missing.

    I do have a mixer i could try to add if there is some reason why i shouldn’t hook speakers directly up to card

    Generally you should be using a mixer with any capture card.

    yes thank you i added my mixer and fixed all the problems. turns out it was a balanced audio to unbalanced speakers issue.
