Hi. I try to sync a DeckLink SP card with an analog video mixer.
I use sync (blackburst) from an external generator (Tektronix).
Using control slider from DeckLink driver control (Genlock Timming) I can’t properly sync Y output from DeckLink with mixer.
Using an Tektronix vectorscope i noticed that color phase from DeckLink output (videocomplex) are very unstable (8-10 grade variation). I try whit 3 different DeckLink SP card: the same problem. My TV system is PAL. I think that’s hardware design problem (DeckLink).
And no answer from DeckLink support…
Any clue? I realy don’t know what to do.

    regards,
    Mark

    🙁
DeckLink SP analog video = disaster.
Anyone ever can genlock DeckLink SP (analog video output) with external blackburst signal?
I test 3 diferent card (2 PCIe, 1 PCI) in 2 diferent systems (Intel D945PVS and one ASUS P5DW).
Same problem: color phase are very unstable (only for analog video).
    I’m sure it’s hardware/driver design problem :(.

    regards,

Try not to sync your SP. Do the inputs of your video mixer reshape/reclock/or timebase correct the signal?
If not, do you have TBC’s lying around? Or any professional Beta machines that could do the job for you?
If nothing helps, do the reverse, you Decklink outputs are masters, the video mixer and everything else are slaves. Put in other words, if the Decklink SP is so bad at accepting external sync (because it has too little tolerance to differently timed devices) make it chief to everything else!
