    Hey everyone,
I am promarily an editor, but I recently bought Logic for my G5 1.8/1.5 gig RAM. I have a Blackmagic Decklink SP card in my machine that I use with Final Cut Pro. It works as an I/O for my video & audio for Beta & DV decks mostly. I can set it as my default Audio Output for the CPU, so I can play iTunes & Soundtrack through the mnixer that I have attached, which means that the CPU is sending out through the Decklink.
The problem is that when I have Logic running, I can’t hear audio thru the mixer. I also can no longer hear the CPU thru the mixer.
    Is there something I’m missing?
Under the Audio Drivers window, I have the Decklink selected, and I can’t seem to figure out what other setting I might have overlooked.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Marc,

You’ll need to send video out via the DeckLink card in Logic Pro in order for the audio to go out as well. Make sure you select the DeckLink card as the video output device in Logic, then open a compatible Quicktime movie.

The good thing is that once you’ve got that working, you can close the movie window in Logic and audio playout will still continue.

Just like Final Cut, Logic has it’s own audio (and video) settings that overrides what’s in the system sound preferences.

    regards
