    Hi,

Basic question but maybe someone can help me. I’ve got loads of footage that I need to capture at lo-res (and re-capture uncompressed when edited). Im using decklink SD with FCP pro HD on the Mac. When I try to use the blackmagic offline RT preset to capture, the footage needs rendering in the timeline, even when I match the sequence settings to the capture settings. Can anyone tell me if it’s possible to play this compressed footage in realtime without the need to render?

    Thanks

Once you have changed the settings to what you want, try creating a new sequence….then drop the footage in the new sequence….don’t continue to insist on changing the original one…sometimes it gets a little finicky.

Oh, and it may be too late, but make sure if your are playing with any presets, duplicate a preset first, then play with the settings.
