    All

I know Decklink Products can capture to uncompressed AVI and Quicktime on Windows Systems. However, can it also capture to other codecs such as the Microsoft DV codec. I know this defeats the purpose of the board but gives us some flexibility in capturing at lower file sizes if needed.

Just to clarify. You can capture to the DV Codec with Decklink products? You don’t have to use the firewire port?

    Maybe for extra information:

Using the Blackmagic-design supplied deck-control application, you can record to DV embedded into .MOV (quicktime). Using Premiere Pro 1.5 you can record to DV embedded into .AVI.

I have not yet seen any application that can record into raw .DV files.
