Decklink HD Extreme to DVW-A500 channel condition problems.
I’ve been delivering tapes to broadcasters for three years with my current set up and NEVER had this problem. But now I seem to have played out a bunch of tapes with channel condition flashes all over the place. I thought I’d solved the problem by updating my blackmagic driver, and whilst I don’t seem to be getting issues with my playouts I now seem to have lost SDI input capability and have gained a weird issue where when watching back over my tapes for channel conditions (having grown paranoid of them!) I get none if I watch a tape with just a deck to monitor setup, but if my computer is connected and I’ve got the Edit to Tape window up in FCP to control the tape whilst checking it I get channel condition flashes the whole time, as if the computer is sending out weird little pulses of bad to the deck that don’t actually effect anything…
Any ideas? Anyone!?
