Decklink HD Extreme & Panasonic VT30 problems
Posted by Ryan Peters on February 1, 2012 at 11:52 amI just got the panasonic vt30 for a client monitor and it is acting up with my decklink.
It isn’t displaying anything.
I tried unistalling the decklink then reinstalling the latest drivers.
I am getting no signal but when I plug it into my home tv (a sony lcd) I get a picture no problem. I plug the same hdmi cable into the panasonic and I get nothing.
If someone could help me out I’d appreciate it.
Thanks

February 1, 2012 at 4:24 pmI have the VT25 and have not had such issues – are you sure you have the input on the panny set to the right port, and are you outputting straight from the card or thru an hdlink, aja, etc
I will say that right at the end of my 1 year warranty the fans all failed – not sure if they fixed this known issue in the VT25 but the repair guy was telling me it happens often and they switch out a whole bunch of tiny little fans in the back – crazy.

February 1, 2012 at 11:35 pmI tried all the signals but to nothing is working.
The feed doesn’t seem to matter. Still nothing but black.
I called blackmagic and they basically said the options are to change the output signal (which I’ve done) or get a new tv.
This is brand new. The hdmi inputs work fine with everything else I’ve plugged in.

February 2, 2012 at 2:57 amAfter a few emails back and forth I have yet to come up with a solution.
We have tried rolling back decklink driver versions to the last 4 versions. They all allow output to an external monitor from inside DaVinci but none of them will show up on the Panasonic vt30.
Looks like it may be a windows DaVinci issue as many others using the Decklink HD Extreme+DaVinci+Panasonic vt30 are all operating off of Macs.
If anyone has any other suggestions I will give them a try.
Thanks

February 2, 2012 at 3:54 amHi Ryan,
Could you please test with Media Express, and see if you have better luck getting the SDI working? This will rule out any issues specific to the Resolve 8.2 beta software on Windows.

February 2, 2012 at 7:14 amRyan we had same issue with our gt30! We fixed it by reseting tv to factory defaults 🙂

February 2, 2012 at 7:32 amI just resetting it a few times but still nothing.
Were you working on a PC?
It looks like everyone who is currently working on this setup is mac based. That looks like the only difference.
I reset the factory settings on both the unit and just the picture. Still no go.
