Decklink HD Extreme Log and Capture issue
I recently switched from a PowerPC quad to a Macpro.
Blackmagic card worked 100% in the Quad.
So I installed the Blackmagic HD Extreme into the Macpro.
Now I have constant problems when I go to log and Capture. The card does not recognize the input source. I have to close out of FCS, reboot, re launch, re- launch L&C, etc..over and over and again until it eventually sees the source.
I updated the drivers- check prefs, ran disk utility, etc
Blackmagic support is stumped.
(In fact- I tried to launch L&C for 30minutes- called BM support while I continued to try and get it to work. As soon as I got the guy on the phone- I was able to get it to launch!Like I said- I do nothing major to change any settings- sometimes it sees the source and sometimes it doesn’t.
(My Source and Easy set-up is always the same.)
Please- what the heck is going on here. It’s making me crazy.
Would AJA work better the Macpro? -

i moved my bm card from a older mac 10.4.11 (never had problems) to a new 8core macpro and about every week i have to reinstall the bm decklink drivers because of a similiar issue(no i/o out of the card) i think its just a leapord 10.5 thing. but no worries im sure bm will get around to fixing it in a year or so..
