The hardware is scaling the footage. Are you looking for the engineering specs on what EXACTLY it is doing? I don’t think they are out there.

Will your clients understand the specifications if you told them? My producer glazes over when I talk about what I need to do to get codecs to match. I just say “hardware is better…it just is.”

Yes sure but you know there is always a client who know everythink, Thats why. Last time i client cause me problems because i didn’t give him R3d archives colored in 4k i had to explain him that he didn’t need it for Tv comercial thats why i gave him hd 10bit uncompress. But he discuss with me about the color information….

So thats why i need to know, cause there is always a client who want to be clever than you…
