    Hello all,

My Decklink HD Extreme 2 (old, I know) doesn’t seem to want to work properly on my MacPro. Not sure if it’s just not officially supported anymore or what, but I’ve got the latest driver (9.9.3). I can get audio out via XLR, but adjusting the output in the desktop video utility has no effect, and I cannot get any video out via HDMI or SDI. I’ve enabled blackmagic playback within premiere, have tried blacmagic sequences, have uninstalled and reinstalled but nothing. I also don’t even see a blackmagic design folder within my application support folder in the Mac HD library (if that’s still where it is supposed to be kept.

Any suggestions as to what I might be missing?

    Thanks!

    Hi Beau,

Do you see the Blackmagic plugins in this folder?

    /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore

Also, what resolution/frame rate are you trying to output to?

    Hi Peter,

I’ve looked, and here’s what I have in that folder…

“Blacklist Premiere Pro.txt” and then a folder for some FxFactory stuff. But that’s it.

I do have all of the presets for blackmagic within premiere but can’t get anything to output (except for Audio, but that’s via the system output which is set to blackmagic. I’ve tried 1080 at both 29.97 and 24p.

    Thanks for your response, Peter.

    Thanks!

Ok, so I just got off the phone with Blackmagic, and the Decklink HD Extreme 2 is not supported in Mavericks. So there’s my problem.

    Case closed.

    Thanks!
