    Hi Kevin,
I’ve got a BM SD (not HD) and only the SDI conexion carry audio. If I switch the monitor in Components or RGB there is not audio imput.
I guess the HDI conexion works the same way.
    Cheers,
    Rafael

This is an install to a machine room, so on the return for audio, there is no mixer present. Because of this, I am fairly certain that I have to use the Mac’s audio outputs. I did a test and this seemed to work well enough. It’s dead on with the SDI return to the video monitor.

Any other suggestions? I’m going to go check out the BMD forum as well.

The only monitoring option you got in the BM HD is the HD/SD-SDI out. The problem is that when you set FC to Video play-back: Blackmagic, the Mac’s audio out gets disable. With a BM SD you got analog audio-out through XLR but not in the BM HD.

I have the Deckling HD Pro card and I just loaded the vers 6.0 drivers. The Decklink HD has both embedded audio in the SDI stream and AES I/O. Both are working with my card and the new drivers. If all you have changed Kevin is the driver and not the patching then it is a mystery.
