    Hello,

I recently purchased two Decklink Extreme 3D+ PCIe playback cards for video editing. I’ve owned several Blackmagic cards before and have no problem installing their drivers. So I was shocked when I updated the two cards using the Desktop Video 8.0.2 application and after the firmware update, the cards weren’t detected under Device Manager. Restarting, shutting down or removing the cards and putting them on a different slot did nothing to help. I even put them in a different machine all to no avail. I installed a Decklink Duo on the same PCIe slot and its working just fine.

What can I do to resurrect my cards? Is there a software I can use to flash the firmware again? Maybe in DOS or something?

I’ve tried contacting Blackmagic but they aren’t very helpful either.

    Thanks,

    Carlos

    Hey man,

I just had the exact same issue.. After the firmware update, suddenly the Mac system profiler couldn’t recognize the DeckLink HD Extreme 3D. It’s really concerning considering it was delivered the other day…
Did you eventually fix the issue? if so, how did you do it?

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Since I’m based here in Hong Kong so I purchased the card from B&H and got it sent over here. Do you reckon I should contact them and send it back? Where did you get yours from if you don’t mind me asking?

Well I live in Ghana (West Africa) so I don’t think you should have a problem getting it to them. Just contact them via email and they would have you ship it via UPS delivery service.

So I’m guessing you got yours from B&H too?
