    Decklink Extreme with G4 quicksilver?

    Hi all,

    FCP 4.0
    G4 quicksilver (2002)
    933mhz
    1.0GB RAM
    Lacie D2 big disk extreme

    I’m thinking about getting the Decklink Extreme from blackmagic design for the 10 bit
    uncompressed video and video monitor outs. Wondering if it will be compatible with my 933mhz
    g4 quicksilver and Lacie firewire? I also have FCP 4.0, would that still have realitime effects
    or do I have to have FCP HD in order to use Decklink? Anyone have any
    experience with Decklink? Reviews? I’m a newbie. Thanks.

    Go to the “Change Forums” on the left and choose the Decklink Forum. Grant and the gang are hosts over there and you’ll get a more direct answer by posting over there since pretty much everyone over there uses the product.
