    Hi all

I installed the 6.7.1 driver for my Decklink Extreme card and it updated the card firmware upon restart. Later I discovered I made a mistake and needed the 5.6.2 driver to be able to work in my version of FCP(5.0.4). So I uninstalled the 6.7.1 driver and reverted back to 5.6.2. My problem now is that the card is not showing up anymore. If I run BM Disk Speed Test it reports missing hardware. I have a feeling I need to roll back the firmware on the card itself but I can’t figure out how to do that. I did mail BM support through their webpage but haven’t got an answer yet (2 days ago).

    Any help appreciated!

Well, I didn’t quite solve the problem as such. Nothing suggested by the support staff worked for me so in order to get my rig back up and running I upgraded Final Cut pro to the latest version which is compatible with the firmware in my card.

Word to the wise: Don’t upgrade your firmware unless you are 100% sure you know what you are doing because reverting back seems to be an unreliable feature.
