Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on a 4-channel audio output solution. Here is what I was thinking, and I was curious if this is possible…In FCP 5.0 if I use a Decklink Extreme Card can I output 4 channels of audio via SDI to a Digital Betacam (DVW-500) in a single pass, or do I have to do this in two passes?

If anyone has any advice it would be greatly apprechiated, thanks.

    Cheers
    Matt

Yes, you can do it in one pass. You only have to set up the two extra outputs in FCP in your sequence settings. Works nice.

you can do it also 8 channels in one pass (embedded sdi audio) – analogue audio only 2 channels…

    Hi,

select your sequence, command 0 to bring up
your sequence settings, click on the audio outputs tab
and add 2 extra audio track either as stereo or dual mono
    and you’re done.
