I am confused about the Decklink Extreme 3D card and it’s Dual Stream 3D capabilities within Avid’s new Media Composer 6. According to Blackmagic’s Website (Decklink Extreme 3D page) “You can easily capture, edit, monitor and output dual stream 3D using Avid Media Composer 6 because it fully supports DeckLink Extreme 3D”. Yet, acording to Avid’s own literature and my experience so far with MC6 & the DeckLink Extreme 3D card, dual stream 3D capture, editorial and output is only available if you use Avid’s Nitris DX hardware.

Am I missing something? I have MC6 working beautifully with my DeckLink card but when I am in a Sterescopic project I do not see any ablity to capture, monitor our output full dual stream 3D. I have a 3D project coming up where I will need to output dual stream 3D back to HDCAM SR for my delivery and am trying to figure out if I can do it with MC6 and my Decklnk Extreme 3D card.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
