    Hey Grant, Luke & Co,

Just wondering if your able to give us any idea of what video cards will be best suited to the new low priced Da Vinci range? Any chance it will be the quadro range from Nvideo, you know so that you could theoretically run CS5 and Da Vinci through the same graphics card?

    Cheers,

    10 GIG RAM
Final Cut Studio, Adobe Creative Suite etc

    Hi Adam,

Grant’s big email mentioned the Mac version of Resolve will need a single CUDA capable GPU card which means some model of NVIDIA card.

That is what will be required when the Mac version first ships but Grant also wants to add support for other GPU cards as well as opening DaVinci Resolve up to other brands of control panels and capture cards. That will be nice as you’ll be able to choose to use Blackmagic or third party hardware for use with Resolve but initial hardware support will be very specific so that we can ship Resolve for Mac as soon as possible.

We will post verified GPU and other hardware information a little closer to that time and we’ll probably also post more information in the DaVinci forum.

    Regards,
