Updated Decklink to 5.7.2 and was requested to update firmware which I did. Final Touch didn’t launch anymore. I downgraded back to 5.6.2 and was again asked to upgrade firmware which I did and Final Touch still won’t launch.

    Is there a workaround?

    Hi Todd,

Have you tried disabling the DeckLink desktop? I believe that should help. You probably had it set that way before but, when you updated to the latest DeckLink drivers, the desktop would have become enabled again. Disable it and restart your Mac and all should be well.

I ended up finding that out myself. Thanks for your response Luke!

well I dropped back to 5.6.2 because even though I got Final Touch to launch, every time I tried to initialize the video output through the drop down box in setup (in Final Touch) FT crashes. I uninstalled 5.7.2, reloaded 5.6.2, trashed FT preferences, re-updated the firmware as requested, disabled desktop and now back to where I was before except FT still crashes trying to enable video output.

    I am running FT 2.6.1 on a dual 2.5g G5, 4.5 gig ram, NVidia GForce 6600

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Can you please email the Final Touch crash log to support[at]blackmagic-design.com. It’s strange that it’s crashing now but it didn’t before with the same drivers. That makes me suspect some extra factor is causing the problem but we’ll be able to tell more by having a look at your crash log.
