  • Decklinck Extreme 3D – How can I output a Frame-Packing Signal

    Hi,

I am trying to output a Frame-Packing Signal from the BM Media Express Player to my 50″ Plasma 3DTV via HDMI 1.4 but i can’t get it to work.
The only options in the BM settings for 3D Output are Side-by-Side, Top-Bottom, Interleaved, Left and Right. But there is nothing about Frame-Packing, where each’s eye resolution keeps the full HD resolution.

By the way, I use two separate 1808p24 streams which I combined to a 3D stream in the software.

What a coincidence, I just called in the exact same question to Tech Support. The rep did not know and is checking on it for me. I will let you what I find out.

    I’m having the same problem.

The promotional blurb on the website says something about the card being intelligent enough to switch automatically, but I don’t see that happening.

Are both of you using certified 1.4 cable? I’m not but my other 1.4 devices are working with the one I have. That may be why the card isn’t auto recognizing the display.

Me not, but as far as I know HDMI 1.4 doesn’t require new cables . The confusing thing for me is the fact, that there’s just no option for the Frame-Packing mode in the BM software.

The 1.4 cables are capable of carrying more data for 3D. I’ve got one coming in the next hour and I’ll let you know if it fixes my problem.

So BM tech support said that at this time the current firmware does not support frame packing on capture or playback.
