    Hi,

I’m getting strange issues with my Decklink extreme card.
The card is PCI and when I try to capture footage thru the Firewire port, frames are dropping like crazy !! I tries the speedtest, but the test gives me ample speed for the required task. Anyway, when I disable the Decklin video desktop, I can capture without dropping frames, but the capture preview looks jerky although the captured footage is fine. I’m sure the issue is with the Decklink, because when I uninstalled it, Firewire capture is flawless.

I think it might be related to some hardware, as I discovered that my ASUS P4C800E deluxe motherboard has 32-bit PCI slots instead of the recommended 64-bit. Could this be the bottleneck ??

    My complete config:

    ASUS P4C800E mobo with P4 3,2 Ghz and 2 GB DDR400 RAM
Primary system disk Maxtor Diamondmax 9plus 80gb S-ATA
RAID 0 for video, 2 Maxtor Diamondmax 9plus 80gb S-ATA striped with the on mobo RAID controller (Promise)
S-ATA disk 200 GB for audio.
    Decklink extreme PCI card.
    Adobe Premiere Pro 2

Do I need to get another motherboard and if yes which one (I’m in Europe).
Thanks for any comments or suggestions that could clear this issue up.
