In Premiere Pro 2.0 and I am having a difficult time getting the deck to assemble at the exact timecode. Is there a delay start setting for this sucker? To assemble at 10;00 I have resorted to 14;12 and though it is functional it is also tacky having to cheat it like that. I figure it must be a setting and someone has dealt with this before. Thanks

Are you using the device preset for a DSR 20?

Yes I am using the Preset for DSR 20 with 150 frame preroll.

    Thank You for your input!

Have you tried without your 150 frame preroll.

eg the 4 sec 12 frame offset is 152 frames difference (@30fps)

I use no pre roll on my DSR11

I never thought of not using preroll, this deck definately snaps to on command. The anti-umatic experience. I will work with this once I drop this next episode to tape.

    Thanks for your assistance!

Another little tip that maybe helpful.

I had an issue with the video on PremPro displaying with an approx 1 second delay at the external monitor. ie the video on the PremPro monitor and the external monitor were about at a second variance. (Irritating to say the least) – turned out to be 17 frames variance.

I fixed it by changing the msdv.sys file to the version used in Service PAck 1.

If you are still with me here…

This created a new litle problem. My dubbs to tape were exactly 17 frames out.

I solved this by simply deducting the 17 frames from the Tape Record In point and this works fine and reliably. eg my workbar in point less 17 frames.

Kind of a simple way to make the off set if you need any. (Just have to rember how much it is all the time)
