  • Deck sees a one-frame edit

Does anyone else have this reocurring problem. When outputting, especially inserting a short portion of the timeline, I receive the error: “The deck may unable to perform this edit operation since the duration is only one frame”. Even though the in and out points are 10 to 30 seconds or more, the “edit to tape” mode performs a one-frame edit. This occurs in both broadcast and DV timelines and on both Digi beta and DV Cam machines. Usually adjusting the in point away from a video transition will solve the problem, but it’s frustrating.

    Thanks!

You can’t insert during a transition. I would only recommend inserting from a cut to a cut. Although the error message says the edit is one frame, the actual problem is that you can’t insert during a transition or where there is no clip.

i also keep getting this error, it is nothing to do with the location of a transition, it seems to be arbitary, a frame one way or another may solve the problem. It is annoying and very frustrating, and am yet to find a foolproof way around it.

I am using a Decklink HD Xtreme.
