    Xpress Pro 5.5.3, Dual 2.5 g5 2 gig ram OS 10.4.7
    DSR-40, DSR45
When attempting to capture via Keyspan twin serial adapter we get random timecode errors when both audio and video are being captured from DV tapes. Either alone is OK. Same thing happens when capturing from Beta using the DSR’s as pass through converter.
Capture when using Firewire for deck control is OK however. Confirmed same issue with Media composer (Soft) when capturing via firewire. When capturing with an Adrenaline system, built from the same disk image, there is NO problem if using the Adrenaline hardware.

Already tried all of the usual tricks, trash settings new project new user trashed MC State etc etc.

Whether capturing either directly from the DV Decks or from the Beta deck (signal converted to DV through the DV Decks) the result is the same. Capturing audio or video by itself is OK when using the Keyspan for deck control. AV together = erratic timecode errors.

I’m thinking there’s some issue with the DV audio being unlocked from video or the way it’s buffered is creating a timing error. These setups worked perfectly with Xpress Pro 4.8.2 and OS X 10.4.6
