    Deck control capture

    Hello,

    Back in december I posted about my deckcontrol problem but did not get any responses.

    My problem has gotten worse, I can no longer capture from the deckcontrol apps.

    some feedback would be appreciated.

    Hi,

    I am capturing some footage in the BM Deckcontrol. I randomly get the message: ” The communication with the deck was lost”.

    Never happened before. The only thing that has change in our setup is the deck we are using. Previously we had a Betacam PVW-2800. Now we are using a Betacam DVW-500.

    any ideas?

    Hi Jeff,

    What version of our drivers do you have now?

    Delete the file “com.blackmagic-design.BlackmagicDeckControl.plist” that is located in ~/Library/Preferences/

    Also look in the folder /Library/Preferences and see if you have the file called “com.blackmagic-design.DeckLinkPrefsPanel.plist”. If so, delete that as well. See if this fixes the problem.

    If not:

    Create another user account with admin rights, log into that and see if the same thing happens.
