Deck Control capture problem
Hi
I’m trying to capture through the Deck Control application because I need a Quicktime file.
As soon as capture starts the application isn’t responding and the preview screen stays black.Anyone experienced this problem?

I have. After multiple emails, BM support just tells me that it is a known bug and that future updates will fix it. So every update I hope for the best but I get the same problem. I have found the only way to get around it is to use a different program like Vegas or FCP or Premiere to capture the footage using the BM card. Although, even then the card seems to drop frames and stop responding for a few seconds.

Is Deck Control the only application that can capture straight to Quicktime?

I don’t know, Leo. I’m sure FCP will capture directly to quicktime using the BM card. I don’t have a mac in this studio, so I can’t be for sure.
