deck compatibility question
I am setting up a FCP studio editor and am considering using the JVC br-hd50 as my capture deck. I will be capturing via firewire, no fancy card or anything. The source footage will be shot on a JVC gy-hd100u. Does anyone else have this set-up? What do you guys think about it?

HDV? You can capture with firewire but you’ll need an I/O card for just about everything else you’ll be doing.
Search this forum for “HDV” and “card” and you should find a couple of threads with suggestions.
