    Dear FCP voice over tool..

You are a pain in the rear end. You should record on the track I specify. Period. I don’t care if it overwrites something. Just do what I say. If i didn’t want to record on track 3 I would not tell you to to record on it. I know you mean well. But don’t think so much. Just do what you are told. And another thing… don’t ever create any new tracks unless I tell you to. Understand? Ahhhhh nevermind..

    Dear Jason,

It’s been a tough year. Between the wife leaving with the kids, the layoffs at the factory, and this weird rash I can’t get rid of, it’s been difficult to perform at a level to meet your satisfaction. But I like to remain positive. So I will try harder.

    Sincerely,
The Final Cut Pro Voice Over Tool

    Dear FCP,

I can’t believe I’ve been editing for 2 years with you and just now I realized that all these extra tracks you’re creating when I use the VO tool are because I’m not setting in and out points on my main timeline to prevent the recording from overwriting something else in the A2 track.

Now if I can just find a good way to delete the 40 some extra tracks quicker I would be happy.

    Happy Thanksgiving.
